CuteCad - Lampshade
The new parametric plug-in, now available for CuteCad
With Lampshade Creator, making a lampshade is as easy as never before.
Select the shape type, cone or pyramid, enter the upper and lower diameters, or the upper and lower size, the slope length, the length of the flap and a perfect 2D shape of your lampshade is ready for production!
The following procedure shows how this software application is easy and practical:
Enter the data of the cone or of the pyramid... |

CuteCad - Gaskets plug-in
This plug-in was designed for the parametric production of typical gaskets.
The user can create many complex gasket shapes by using their construction parameters in a very fast and easy way.
Outer diameter: the outer diameter of the gasket
Inner diameter: the inner diameter of the gasket
Holes number: the number of bolt holes
Holes diameter: the diameter of the bolt holes
Bolt diameter offset: by default, the bolt holes are centred in the middle between the outer and the inner diameters. Change this value to move the holes towards the outer contour (positive values) or the inner contour (negative values).
Angle offset: by default the first bolt hole is placed at 0°, change this value to rotate it counterclockwise
|
|
External width: the outer width of the flange
External height: the outer height of the flange
Primitive width: the width of the rectangle of the bolt hole centers
Primitive height: the height of the rectangle of the bolt hole centers
Inner width: the inner width of the flange
Inner height: the inner height of the flange
Hole diameter: the bolt hole diameter
Inner radius: the radius of the fillets around the bolt holes
|
|
Vertical Rib: the width of the vertical rib (between the two small holes)
Horizontal Rib: the width of the horizontal rib between the big hole and the two small ones.
The other parameters are the same as those of the Circular Flange (see above).

CuteCad - Packaging plug-in
This parametric plug-in is ideal for the production of complete parts in the packaging industry.
The user can create a wide range of boxes and packaging shapes by just entering their construction parameters in a very fast and easy way.
Code: the code number assigned to each type of box.
Length: the internal length of the box
Breadth: the internal breadth of the box
Height: the internal height of the box
Material thickness: the thickness of the material
Joint width: the width of the joint
Overlap: the size of the flaps

CuteCad - Sofa plug-in
This plug-in was designed for sofa manufacturers. It provides a series of complex commands
frequently used in solutions for the furniture industry.
Replace drills
This command replaces all the drills in the shapes with notches.
Actions:
Click on the "Replace drills" button or select "Replace drills" from the Menu "Sofa".
Break
This command breaks a shape into two shapes.
Actions:
Draw a break line through the shape you want to divide;
click the "break" button or select "Break" from the Menu "Sofa";
select the shape to break;
select the break line or the first point of the break line;
click near the line to insert a notch;
right click or press "enter" to break" the shape;
a dialog box appears to let you delete (or not) the break line.
Offset
This command creates an offset to the selected shape. The offset is set by default at -3 mm:
the Parameters command lets you change this value. The value you specify will be saved and
will be valid also for subsequent sessions of CuteCad.
Actions:
Click the "Offset" button or select "Offset" from the Menu "Sofa";
select the shapes from the dialog box;
click "OK".
Scale
This command scales the selected shapes.
Actions:
Click the "Scale" button or select "Scale" from the Menu "Sofa";
input the unit measure to add to each shapes;
select the shapes to scale from the dialog box;
click "OK".
Paint
This command paints the contour of known shapes: using this command you can know what
on the drawing is a shape and what is simply a polyline.
Action:
Click on the "Paint" button or select "Paint" from the Menu "Sofa".
Cut
This command cuts a shape into single lines.
Actions:
Draw a cutting line through the shape to cut;
click the "Cut" button or select "Cut" from the "Sofa" Menu;
select the shape to cut;
select the cutting line or the first point of the cutting line.
Extend
This command extends a shape.
Actions:
Draw a line through the shape to extend;
select the shape to extend;
select the extend line or the first point of the extend line;
insert the values of the extension of the shape into the dialog box;
click "OK".
Merge
This command merges two shapes removing the overlap. The overlap is set by default at 30
mm: the Parameters command lets you change this value. The value you specify will be saved
and will be valid also for subsequent session of CuteCad.
Actions:
Click the "Merge" button or select "Merge" from the "Sofa" Menu;
select the first shape to merge;
select the second shape to merge;
select an overlap point from the first shape;
select an overlap point from the second shape.
Align
This command rotates the shapes to make the grain direction vertical.
1. click the "Align" button or select "Align" from the "Sofa" Menu.
Info
This command exports information (area and perimeter) about the shapes.
Actions:
Click the "Info" button or select "Info" from the "Sofa" Menu;
click save to save the information.
Grain direction
This command creates the grain direction. The grain line length is set by default at 10 mm: the
Parameters command lets you change this value. The value you specify will be saved and will
be valid also for subsequent sessions of CuteCad.
Actions:
Draw a line that will give the direction of the grain;
click the "Grain direction" button or select "Grain direction" from the "Sofa" Menu;
select the shape;
select the starting point of the grain line;
select the entity to be parallel (press Ctrl to change to perpendicular).
