Korium is a CNC-cutting system, specifically designed for managing the whole cutting process of leather.

The software used by the system allows to recognize automatically the outline of the leather, to calculate its exact measure and to project the patterns on the cutting table.
The frame is equipped with projectors and digital cameras,
which give the possibility to recognize the quality zones.
Then the operator can position the patterns manually or automatically.
All these phases, from the definition of the outline to the nesting of the patterns are processed on the machine cutting table. For a higher productivity, the system can be realised in its off-line configuration.
This way scanning and nesting are processed on a separate system, called Scan Vision. This allows to recognize the outline and the quality zones of the leather hide and then to launch the automatic nesting.
After that the software prints a barcode label that will be applied to the leather.
Using a barcode reader the operator can recall at any moment the file of the scanned and nested hide, that will be projected on the cutting surface

Korium is so big to allow the spreading of two big leathers on it, so that the whole leather surface is visible on the cutting area.
The working surface is equipped with a powerful sectioned suction system for a better locking of the leather on the surface. The whole cutting surface is lit by two high luminosity DLP projectors with wide-angle optic, that allow the whole area to be lit in the same time.
The system is equipped with a multi-tool cutting head, extremely reliable, easily removable and designed for an easy and quick maintenance.
It is equipped with 4 tools: Oscillating Knife,
Pen, Punch, Perforator.
The cutting head guarantees the highest cutting quality on every kind of leather and thickness.
The energy consumption and maintenance costs are low. The operator has easily access to all sides of the system to position the leather and gather all cut pieces.
The system is built in accordance with CE regulation.
In line with our philosophy, Korium is an open system and completely interfaceable with all Cad systems in the market, through our interface software.
